ARMY SURGEONS' PENSIONS.
PROTEST AGAINST REDUCTION.

Napier, Friday. A DEPUTATION of medical men, representing the Haw'ke's Bay branch of the British Medical Association, waited on the Hon. J. A. Hanan, protesting againsC the reduction of pensions for army surgeons killed or wounded, and asking for a gratuity for loss occasioned by absence from practice while at the front. The Minister promised to submit the representations to the Minister for Defence.
