PENSIONS FOR MINERS
69 GRANTED FOR PHTHISIS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. The Hon. A- M. Myers gives the following particulars to date relating to the working of the Miners' Phthisis Act Eighty claims for pensions have been received, including two from widows. Of these, 69 have been granted, 10 are on hand awaiting completion of necessary inquiries, and I one applicant has died. The total annual lvalue of the pensions granted is £3215.
