INCREASED WAR RISK.
MEDITERRANEAN VOYAGES. (Received December 10, 11 p.m.) London, December 10. Owing to the submarine activity Lloyds are charging 40 per cent, war risk on vessels going through the Mediterranean. In same cases even more is charged.
THREE STEAMERS SUNK. TWO OF THEM BRITISH. London, December 9. The British steamers Veria and Helmsmuir and the steamer Goulandris have been sunk. The Veria was a steel steamer of 3329 tons, built in 1899.The Helmsmuir was a steamer of 4111 tone, uuilt in 1913.
