WOUNDED NEW ZEALANDERS.
RECEPTION AT CAPETOWN.
THE RUAHINE'S PARTY. WELCOME BY CITIZENS. Capetown, December 9. The Ruahine has called with 130 wounded New Zealanders on their way home. The men, who are all benefited by the voyage, were welcomed by many prominent citizens. The Governor-General, Viscount Buxton, visited them, while the Automobile Club motored the wounded men to Table Mountain and entertained them at luncheon and the theatre. During the interval at the theatre, Sir Percy Fitzpatrick, M.L.A., paid a tribute' to the New Zealanders' splendid work. General Botha, who is busy with the Union Assembly, sent a message conveying regret at his inability to attend, and stating that the presence of the New Zealanders was an inspiration to South African manhood to follow their great example.
