ROTOR U A CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] Rotorua, Thursday. The annua] meeting of the Rotorua Lawn Tennis Club was hold on Tuesday evening, Mr M. H. Hampson presiding The annual report congratulated the members on a successful season, and stated that the courts in the Public Gardens were thiß year receiving much more attention at the hands of the Tourist Department thnn had before been bestowed upon them. The committee referred to the success of the Matata Club and the splendid play of Miss Burt at the club s annual tournament, and expressed thanks to Mr. F. J Onlsou. of Auckland, for assistance rendered at that gathering. The committee expressed sympathy with the relatives of Mr. L. Kibblewhite, a. memuer of the club who was killed in action at the Dardanelles, and stated that the club would, when the season opened, be represented at the front and in the training camp by 10 members. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £8 lis 9d. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The .following officers were elected :—Patron, Hon. W. H. Kernes; president. Mr. G. Urguhart; vicepresidents- Messrs- Benner. E. Davis. W. W. P. Hal! L. C. Ryan. J. M. Curtis: secretary and treasurer. Mr. S Wylliemanagement committee—Mrs. Scott-Watson, Misses Hall and Marsh, Messrs. Gabriel Chalmers. Hampson, C. L. Bmith, and Dr. Bertram: selection committee Bertram Messrs. Smith and Chalmers: auditor. Mr H F. Twigden. It was decided that the date of opening the season should be used by the committee, and that invitations to play matches should be sent to the clubs at Tauraiiga.
