NORTHCOTE SCHOOL
The Northcote School Committee met last night. Present: Messrs. J. P. McPhail, chairman, J. Broady, J. T. Fearnley, K. Thompson, T. Lunny, A. E. Greenslade, and Mrs. Cowie. The Education Board forwarded the sum of £30 Bs, being the usual quarter's school fund allowance. The secretary was instructed to write to Mr. J. H. Braithwaite, conveying the committee's congratulations on his patriotic action in enlisting for active service. The chairman stated that Mr. Braithwaite, who is assistant headmaster, was leaving for Trentham camp on Tuesday.
