BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

The sharemarket -was again quiet yester- { day, and little business was recorded or reported. Bank shares showed little variation. New Zealand Insurances continued in demand at £6 4s, with sellers asking 3s 6d more. Sooth British had reported business at 965, the market closing with buyers at 95s without declared sellers. A sale of Auckland Gas was reported at 30s 3d. Buyers at the last call offered 30s, with no sellers under 30s 9d. A sale of Union Steams, ordinary issue, was reported at 255. There was little movement in mining flri"-fi. \\aihis again had inquiry at 36s W. with sellers at 37 3 6d. A parcel of lalisman Consolidated* changed hands at Uw 3d, buyers being steady all day at AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. Previous day's closing sales.
