MAINTENANCE OF A WIFE.
AUCKLAND DOCTOR ARRESTED.
[BT TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATIOX.] Welllvgton-, Sundav. Albert Harding Porter, medical practitioner, of Auckland, was arrested here on Friday on a charge that he intended to leave the Dominion without making adequate provision for his wife. He was remanded to Auckland. Counsel stated that accused settled a sum of money on his wife, and the amount required for maintenance was the only matter in dispute.
