! The President of the Admiralty Court, Sir S. T. Evans, has' given judgment concerning ~ four i Scandinavian vessels carrying to Copenhagen cargoes which, it was alleged, were really destined for Germany. Is was said that the vessels had 13 times the usual amount of goods for that port* including hundreds of thousands of tins of canned meats, apparently intended for the German army. Sir S. T. Evans decided : that the meat was destined for the German army and navy, ordered - the confiscation of the cargoes except a small proportion, which was - released, The judgment affects 42 - vessels and also the - shipments of;** many meat packers, including Armours, Swift, and Morris.
