FRENCH RED CROSS WORK.
.DONATIONS TOTAL £223. The concert in aid of the French Red Cross Fund, which is to be given at the Town. Hall concert chamber on September 30, promises to be a great success. The Auckland Orchestral Society is to give several of the best items in its repertoire and Mr. J. Wielaert, the conductor, has secured the services of several vocalists new to Auckland. The Victoria League has accorded its patronage and several other patriotic bodies have promised their support. An artistic souvenir programme is being prepared and will be sold for the benefit of ine fund. The fund now totals £223 19s, the following being the latest donations: — £ s. d.
