WATCHMAN.
£391 FROM 29 TONS.
A total of 29 tons 17cwt of concentrates from the Watchman mine, Thames, has been treated by the Sulphide Corporation, Ltd., Cockle Creek, for a yield of £391 14s 7d. The net value of the return, after the deduction of shipping and other charges, is £330 Is Id.
ROSS GOLDFIELDS.
£200 FROM 773 TRUCKS.
The return from the superintendent of the Ross Goldfields has been telegraphed as follows :—" 50oz 9dwt from 773 trucks." The value of the return is about £200. WAIHI. Tlie following cablegram has been sent to the head office of the Waihi Gold Mining Co., Ltd., London. -.—" No. 11 level, Edward lode: Crosscut at 100 ft south of Sprat crosscut, first 28ft, Oft to 28ft, measuring from east wall of the lode, value 48s 6d per ton; next Bft, 28ft to 36ft across lode, value 9s per ton." FOUR-IN-HAND. Driving was continued on the Four-in-Hand reef at No. 1 level, Four-in-Hand mine, Coromandel. last week. The reef increased in width to 18in, and a few pounds of picked stone were secured. Some picked stone was produced from the Cuirassier reef. MONOWAI. The east crosscut at the Monowai mine, Waiomo, was advanced from 12ft to 18ft last week. Quartz was still showing in the face.
