HEROISM AT GALLIPOLI. 41 HOURS' BOMB-THROWING. London, September 9. Lieutenant Forshaw, of the Manchester Regiment, has been awarded the Victoria Cross for conspicuous ■ bravery on August 9 in holding an exposed corner of a vineyard on Gallipoli. Lieutenant Forshaw was continuously throwing bombs for 41 hours.
