THE EMPIRE'S RESOURCES.
HELP OF DOMINIONS. NEED FOR OPERATION. Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Received September 10. 6.40 p.m.) London, September 10. The Times, in a leading article, says: " Time has added urgency to our earlier appeal for more deliberate and concerted effort to organise the resources of the Empire for war purposes. Only in the case of Canada has there been any direct communication with Britain. The other Dominions have had no such fortune. " The result is that, though putting forth all their efforts to send trained men to Europe, they feel that their leaders know too little about our aims and plans. The same policy applied, if possible, simultaneously, to the other Dominions, the policy which brought Sir Robert Borden to London, will result in removing all these hesitations, doubts, and barriers to fruitful intimacy of counsel, which are now perplexing the leaders of Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.''
