CONFERENCE OF BALKAN STATES TO BE HELD.
PREMIERS AND MILITARY ATTACHES TO ATTEND. ARRANGEMENT DUE TO M. VENIZELOS. Athens, September 9. It is reported that the Premier of Greece, M. Venizelosr has arranged that Servia, Roumania, Bulgaria and Greece shall hold a conference in Salonika, the Premiers and military attaches attending. /LGERMAN PRESS ANXIOUS ABOUT THE BALKANS. "NECESSITY FOR AN OPEN ROAD TO CONSTANTINOPLE." Times and Sydney Sun Serrices. London, September 9. The German press is hinting that Germany must avoid a conflict with America in order to devote the whole of her attention to the Balkans. The Berliner Tageblatt, insisting on the necessity for an open road to Constantinople, says: "If Germany misses the right moment, and permit* the allies to shape the Balkans to their liking, it will be impossible to get rid of the consequences of the mistake."
