CONVALESCENT HOME.
DEVOXPORT FUND. The fund organised by the Mayor of Devonport, Mr. A. M. Pickford, for the equipment of the convalescent home for soldiers in that suburb has now reached a total of £196 9s sd. McCallum, Devonport (Additional amount from afternoon at Belmont) ... 0 7 3 The returns from the picture evening held on August 5 are not quite complete, but already some £35 is in hand, and it is expected that the total will reach £40. Captain Duder has written Mr. Pickford offering a building allotment at Victoria Park as a contribution to'the fund, and arrangements are now being made to dispose of it.
