RAID ON ITALIAN COAST.
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE CLAIMED. (■Received August 15. 5 pm 1 Amsterdam, August 14. An Austrian official communique states: "We successfully bombarded an Italian camp near Cormons, on the railway between Udine and Gorz. Our armoured train drove the Italian guards out of the village of Chizzola, in the valley of the Adige, in the south of Trentino." The* Austrian official version of the bombardment of Italian coast towns in the Southern Adriatic by destroyers, reported in a recent Italian communique, states: "We heavily bombarded four factories, igniting one. We shattered the tramway viaduct at Molfetta and burned to the ground several depots at San Spirito. Bombs were dropped on a signal station and five factories, one factory being ignited. The population of Carie was panicstricken. The railway viaduct at San Gioaio was seriously damaged."
