London, August 13.
Acting on the Pope's instructions, the American prelates, Cardinal Gibbon, Archbishop Farley, and Bishop O'Connell, will assume the initiative in connection with the neeting of cardinals and bishops which is to be held in Switzerland next month to devise the best means of securing peace. Spain and Holland will be represented. America has promised moral and diplomatic support.
