AUCKLAND CLUB'S DINNER. The annual dinner and presentation of prizes of the Auckland Rowing Club was held last evening at the Strand Cafe- Mr. A. I. Fanner, commodore, presided over an attendance of 50 members and guestsApologies for absence were received from Mr. W. Coleman, president of the club, and Mr. J. Clark, president of the Auckland Rowing Association. Representatives were present from the various city and suburban clubs, and included in the guests was Mr. M. Carr, of Wellington. The toast of "Our Boys at the Front" was Drowsed by Mr. G. R. Hogan, who stated that 45 members had left the Dominion with the Expeditionary Force and the reinforcements. Tho toast was most enthusiastically honoured. The toast of " The A.R.A. and Kindred Clubs " was proposed by Mr J. Carder, and responded to by Mr. H. Blcmpied. secretary of the A.R.A., and representatives of tho city clubs. A musical programme was provided by Messrs. Maitland. Jones. Carr, B. Turner, and T. Harris. The trophies won last season were presented as follows: —President's trophies; J. Cleat N- R. Blomficld. J. M. F. Connelly, J. L. Brunton. Mr. Farmer's trophies: J. Carder, J. Fraser, D. Cook. J. L. Brunton. Kohn's trophies: J. Cannon, B. H. Turner, W. R. C. Benjamin, G. Robertson. C. Benjamin (cox). Mr. C. Finlay's trophies: D. Cook and C. Basham. Ngaruawahia regatta medals: F. H. R. Stainton and B. H. Turner. Captain Sommerville's trophies: J. Carder and J. C O'Hara. Members' trophies: J. Cleal. B. H. Turner, C. Caradus. J. Basham. Mr. Schmidt's trophies: F. H, R. Stainton and J. S. Hugill. An old member's tro~hi»«: J. Lovett and W. Benjamin. Mr. N. T. Brown's sculling trophy: N. R. Blomficld. Mr. Hayes's trophies: J. Lovett and Robertson. Trophies for next season's racing were presented by Messrs. M. Carr. Moses, Diddams.. and Hogan.
