Aitken. T. Buxton. H. Clay, F. J. Ohlson, A. Twina-me, and C. V. Langsford, secretary. The question of representative matches was I discussed and it was decided to writ© to the Wellington and Taranalri Unions and suggest home-and-honie matches this season. A letter was read from Mr. J. Elliott, secretary of the Labour Day Sports Committee, asking what support was likely to ibe given by Rugby Union clubs if a relay race for footballers was put on the Labour Day Bports programme. It was pointed out that owing to the number of athletes who had gone to the war the committee was doubtful in regard to the success of this year's gathering if carried out on similar linos to those of previous years. The matter was left in the hands of the secretary to deal with. An application for the transfer of L. C. Saunders from the l'arnoll fourth grade team to the 35th Company Senior Cadets, was granted. The College Rifles applied to have M. Gilmore and J. Parr, of the senior team, regraded. The application was granted. The Grafton fourth grade team protested against a win by the Ponsonby Club being allowed to stand, the protesting team alleging that a member of the Ponsonby team had taken, part in a Northern Union match. After evidence from both sides had been taken the case was adjourned for a week, at the request of the Ponsonby Club, in order to thoroughly clear the suspected player. The evidence indicated a case of mistaken identity. The misbehaviour of the Parnell and Grafton third grade players at the Domain on Saturday was discussed.
