" ECONOMISE OUR MEN." FRENCH GENERALS ADVICE. Received July 8. 2 a.m.) Paris, July 7. Le Journal states that a general, described as one of the great chiefs of our army, addressed the following maxims to the French people :— "Let the truth be told. Time is on our side. Let us continue munitionmaking, and economise men so as to have the forces available when the enemy's troops are pushed forward. Let us also prepare for a winter campaign."
