BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
The week's business opened quietly on the sharemarket yesterday. In investment stocks thoro was keen demand for New Zoaland Insurances at £6 4s, but no sellers were in evidence. Similarly, with South British Insurances, buyers quoted 953 6d, and there were no sellers. Northern Steams (paid up) were done at (14s 4d). Loan and Mercantiles (ord.) were looked for at £83, and sellers asked £90 for (pre!.). Waihi mining lines Were disposed of at 38s 9d, 395, 39s 3d, and again' at 395, sellers closing at 39s 3d. Talismans were offered at 21s 9d and 2ls 6d, buyers ouoting 21s and 21s 3d. Sellers asked 23s 9d for Waihi Grand Junctions, and buyers were prepared to give. 23s 6d. AUCKLAND STOOK EXCHANGE.
