ANOTHER STEAMER SUNK. (Received June 20. 5.5 p.m.)
London, June 19.
A message from Christiania says that the newspapers demand a clear statement of the Government's attitude with regard to the destruction by submarines of Norwegian vessels. The message adds that in Stockholm, Swedish opinion is displaying more and more signs of anger over the torpedoing of Swedish merchantmen. ;ijjpr The British steamer Ailsa, bound from Norway to Leith, was torpedoed. Her crew was saved. Amsterdam reports that advices from Germany indicate that the mails from the steamer Thorsten, have been handed over to the Swedish authorities unopened.
A message from Stockholm on June 17 said that the mail steamer Thorsten, 1634 tons, bound from Gothenburg to England, was captured and conveyed to Swinemunde, a Prussian seaport in tie Baltic.

Wellington, June 20.
The High Commissioner reports from London under date June 19: " During the week ended June 16, seven ships were torpedoed and sunk by mines, representing 26,076 tons. The total sailings and arrivals numbered 1347. Five fishing vessels were sunk, representing 818 tons.

SUNK BY BRITISH WARSHIP.

London, June 19. The Admiralty states that the sub-
marine U29 was sunk by a British warship. .
On March 26, the following message was received from London The Admiralty states that it has good reason for believing that the German submarine TJ29 —one of the later types—has been sunk with all hands. The submarine U29 had been active about the Scilly Islands. It is believed that it was in charge of Commander Weddmggen,' who sank the Aboukir, Creasy, and Hogue in September last."
