WANGANUI RIVER FLOODED.
HEAVY INLAND RAIN.
[BY TELEGRAPH.--OWN'
Wanganui, Sunday. The rain of the last few days has been extremely heavy in the inland districts, judging by the quantity of water now running down the river. The flood, in fact, is the heaviest for two or three years, and at low tide last night the level was fully up to that of liijh water springs. _Au unusual quantity of drift wood is coming down on the flood, the rate of which caused some anxiety last night, to launch and boat owners, some of whom were busy securing their craft till a late hour.
