PERSIAN CATS.

JUDGE'S AWARDS AT SHOW.

The addition of a cat section to the animal show of the Auckland and Suburban Poultry Association was inaugurated last year, and already has become a popular feature. At""the present show, which is held at Royal Albert Hall, the cats are domiciled' in the dress circle. They ate matures, reposing on cushions 'xsT cosy cages. he cushions are of every, conceivable hue, and appear to have been selected to harmonise with tho colour or shade oi tho cat which lies upon it. ; The owners of the cats aro in conattendance upon their pets to sup-, ply 1 their .wants' in food. and milk. Mr. F. yiall judged tho merits of 55 cat? on •. Saturday, and his opinion was that" .the. blues were the finest, whilo tho honours were keenly contested in the neuter class. Decision between tho best two was so difficult that the judge solved the problem -by giving eacli a special prize. Kittens were ;i feature of the show.
