FURTHER DONATIONS.

The Mayor's Fund, for the equipment of I the hospital ship and the relief of the I New Zealand wounded, was swelled con- ! siderably yesterday. Messrs. Wilson and Horton forwarded a cheque for £5000, being a second contribution from the fundi opened by the New Zealand Herald.; The total amount paid into the- Mayor's Fund from the Heraxs Fuxd is now £9500. In accordance with a resolution passed, a few days ago, the trustees, of the Auckland Savings Bank donated the sum of £500. A contribution of £250 was received from Messrs. Sargood, Son, and Ewen, this being the Auckland city portion of the sura of £1000 donated to the hospital ship by that firm. The Mayor's Fund now amounts, to £14,433 19s 4d, the following being the latest contributions .:—
