ANOTHER BATTLESHIP LOST AT DARDANELLES.
H.M.& MAJESTIC SUNK BY SUBMARINE.
NEARLY ALL OFFICERS AND CREW SAVED.
Wellington, May. 28.
The High Commissioner reports from London on May 27: "An enemy submarine torpedoed the British battleship Majestic this morning while supporting the army on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Nearly all the officers and men were saved"
The Majestic was a battleship of 14,900 tote, 'completed in 1895, She Was 399 ft long, with a beam of 75ft. Her armament comprised iota. I2in guns, twelve 6in guns, sixteen 12-pounders, twelve 3-poundere, two Maxims, two 12-poonderß, and five torpedo tubes. She normally carried a complement ot 767 men. The allies have now lost six battleships at the Dardanelles—the Irresistible, Ocean, Goliath, Triumph, and Majestic, «nd fthe French warship Bouvet, and two submarines, the El 5 and the Australian submarine E2.
