TRADE WITH GERMANY.
AMERICAN RETURNS. FALLING OFF IN IMPORTS. SIGNIFICANCE OF EXPORTS. (Received April 24, 2 a.m.) New York, April 23. The Customs returns for the United States show that the imports from Germany for March amounted to £1,269,000, as compared with £2,292,000 in March, 1914. Only £3131 worth of goods was exported to Germany direct, but the exports to Denmark and Sweden in March nearly doubled those of February. Holland shows a 50 per cent, increase.
The imports from Great Britain were only £60,000 less than in March, 1914.
