PRONOUNCED BRITISH SUCCESS IN MESOPOTAMIA.
COMPLETELY-ROUTED TURKS ABANDON MUNITIONS. London, April 22. The India Office states that the defeat of the Turks at Shaiba, in Mesopotamia, was more complete than was hoped. Thoy abandoned motor-cars, guns, ammunition, and waggons. " Turncoat" Arab tribesmen harassed the Turkish rout. There are persistent rumours that Suliman Askeri, Commander-in-Chief of the Turks, committed suicide. The enemy's casualties from April 12 to April 15 total 6000.
