CONTINUED SUCCESS OF BRITISH IN AFRICA.
UNION FORCES REPORT VICTORY OVER GERMANS. (Received April 23. 11.40 p.m.) Capetown, April 23. It is officially announced that the right wing of the Union forces, under General Dirk van der Venter, defeated the Germans at Kabus, twenty miles north of Keetmanshoop, and they are now retreating. The Germans numbered six hundred, with five field guns. They lost 40 killed and wounded. The British losses were slight. ,
