SEPARATE CONTROL SOUGHT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunewn, Sunday. The following resolution was carried at the annunl meeting of the Order of Foresters yesterday on the motion of Bro, Mac Fie, seconded by Rio. W. Sampson: — " That wo join with other Friendly Societies in asking the Government to sot up a Friendly Societies Department, unattached to any other Department." Tile mover said that at present Mr. Hayes was Registrar of Friendly Societies, and also head of the national provident scheme. When he was travelling about his duties had to be taken over by Mr. Traversi. actuary, with the result that the work of the Department fell behind.
