SUCCESS IN AFRICA.
IMPORTANT POST CAPTURED
GERMANS CONCENTRATING.
Capetown, April 2.
The Union forces occupied the important centre of Aus, on the extremity of the desert, and their operations therefrom will be greatly facilitated. The Germans evacuated Aus because the flanks of their line of retreat to Iveetmanshoop was threatened. There are indications of the enemy concentrating to prevent their being cut off in detail. They have abandoned an entrenched position at Hasuur, north-east of Rietfontein, which the Union forces have occupied.
