LOSS TO RUSSIA.
GENERAL RUSSKY RESIGNS.
VICTOR OF LEMBERG. Petrograd, April 2. General Russky, the victor of Lemberg and Prasnysz, has given up command of the army in the field. He had been suffering from internal cancer, but had hitherto heroically refused to resign. The generals captured at Przerayal included Kusmanek and Lieutenant Field-Marshalls Tamasi, Weizendorfer, and Wikl. General Russky was ono of tlio triumvirate of Russian military leaders at the outbreak of the war, his colleagues being Rennenkampf and Samsonoff. Ho had a high reputation as a scientific soldier, with a good record as a teacher of the art of war in the Russian staff collego. After the victory of Lemburg, General Russky was complimented in an order of the day promulgated by tho Russian Com-mander-in-Chief, the Grand Duko Nicholas.
