BRITISH STEAMER SAFE.
REPORTED LOSS INCORRECT
ARRIVES IN FRENCH PORT.

Paris, April 3.
The British and Chilian Steamship Company's steamer Delmira, of 3459 tons, which was reported to have been sunk by a German submarine in the Channel when bound for Boulogne, on March 26 last, has arrived at Cherbourg.
The report cabled on March 26 concerning the Delmira stated that ft German submarine fired three revolver shot? as a signal to the steamer to heave-to. The captain ordered full steam ahead, and could have escaped, but the Chinese below, learning the facts, refused to stoke the engines, and tho submarine, it was stated, quickly overhauled her.
