GERMANS TAUNT CREWS OF LOST SHIPS.
BOATS SIX AND A-HALF HOURS AT SEA. (Received April 2, 730 p.m.; London, April I. The Germans gave the Flaminian's crew seven minutes in which to leave the ship. They jeered at the occupants in the boats. The Germans similarly taunted the crew of the Crown of Castile. One of the German officers said: "We thought of sinking you with all hands, but decided to give you a chance." The boats were at sea for six and a-half hours before being picked up. Chinese members of the crew cowered in the bottom of the boats, refusing to move.
