CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB. The C.J.C. hold their autumn mooting on Monday and Tuesday. On the opening day the Great Easter Handicap figures as the- leading event, and on the second day the Great Autumn Handicap will command must attention. In each rac o some very speedy horses are engaged. The meeting of Autumniis, Chortle, Emperador, Cnesus, and Nightwatch in. the first-named race should be worth it long journey to witness; and with Warstep ticked off as a probable starter for the Great Autumn a strong dash of interest will be centred in the miio and a-half race, for no such weight as that allotted to Martian's little daughter has ever been earned to victory in the Great Autumn.
