MAN NOT ARRESTED.
MAGISTRATE BLAMES CONSTABLE. [BT TELEGRAPH. — FBXSS ASSOCIATION.] CnßisTriiußCH, Tuesday. A CASE in the Court to-day took an unusual turn. 'I ho licensee of the imperial Hotel was charged with permitting drunk- • ennesj on licensed premises. A constable gave evidence that he saw two employees of the Telegraph Department leave the hotel intoxicated at. ihe closing hour. One man admitted that he had been inside since the afternoon, and he comnlaiced that he had been robbed. The. constable said that he told the man to go borne cad fcall at the station nert day. He dismissed the charge.
