CHR"STcrrrRCH, Tuesday. 1 The position in cornoction with the ferry steamer Maori is unchanged, and she is ; still tied up at the wharf. The Union 1 Company has not yet been able to engage ! a stokehold .crew.
The vacancies among the'firemen on the Wahine were filled up at Lyttelton today. Among those who signed on were some of the Maori's firemen. The Wahine left for Wellington without any demonstration.
