Wellington, January 17.
The Prime Minister has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner, dated London, January 15 : An official communique issued in Paris states that the allies have made progress near Lombaertzyde and Becelaere, in Belgium. The Zouaves, after a brilliant bayonet attack, took positions near the ' Arras-Lille road. In the same region our artillery silenced the enemy's batteries, wrecked two guns, and exploded the ammunition depot. ' The Germans entered the village of St. Paul, north-east of Soissons, but we recaptured it immediately.
