A meeting of the local committee of ihe Flying Angel Missions to .v. amen was held in the Diocesan Office yesterday afternoon. The missionor. Mr. Arthur P. Cowie, submitted his monthly report, which is as follows Visits to shipping, 19; services conducted .:i institute, 2; parcels of literature distributed, 20; letters written by or on behalf of seamen, 34; letters received ioi seamen, mission post box, 47: letter.- <■; gratitude received, 22; seamen having obtained employment through the agency of the mission, 32; seamen assisted in various ways, 24; visits to Auckland Tl 6: visits to Police Court, 1; concerts provided for seamen in institute. 6: attendance at the two services, 64; attendance for the month at games, concerts, etc., 352.
