OPPOSITION CANDIDATE
A combined meeting of the Liberal Leagues will be held this evening, to select a candidate for the Parnell seatThe name of Mr. J. C. Gleeson has been mentioned, and will, among others, come up for consideration. He is willing to abide by the decision of the conference, and will not stand unless the desire for his candidature is unanimous.
Mr. J. J. Sullivan, a Liberal and Labour candidate, will open his campaign at the Newmarket Hall this evening. The Mayor, Mr. D. Teed, will preside.
