THE MANUKAU SEAT.
HON. F. W. LANG AT ST. HELIERS.
VOTE OF CONFIDENCE.
There was a good attendance at Mason's Hall, St. Heliers Bay, on Saturday evening, when the Hon. F. W. Lang, M.P. for Manukau, addressed a meeting in support of his candidature for re-election as a supporter of the present Government. Mr. Campbell, chairman of the West Tamaki Road Board, presided. The meeting was a very favourable and enthusiastic one, the candidate being accorded an excellent hearing throughout. Mr. Lang referred to the various planks of the Government's programme as carried out since it assumed office, and also alluded to the proposals for the future. At the conclusion of his address he was accorded a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence, which was proposed by Mr. D. Simpson and seconded hv Mr. H. Waite The meeting broke up with hearty cheers for Mr. Lang.
