SUICIDE ON MAKURA.

MAN DEAD IN CABIN. Br Telegraph.— Press Association— (Received October 2?, 2 a.m.) Sydney, October 25. A second class passenger on the Makura, named Arthur Clarke, was discovered dead in his cabin upon the vessel's arrival on Saturday. A towel was twisted round his throat. It was known he was of a weak state of mind. A doctor gave evidence that the man suffered from melancholia and acted in a strange manner on Friday night.
