WOOL EXPORTS WATCHED. ACTION IN AUSTRALIA. i Received October 25, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, October 25. A proclamation which has just been issued prohibits the exportation of wool to certain places without. the consent of the Minister for Customs. The Woolbrokcrs' Association notifies that exports will he permitted to Britain, Canada, India, Now Zealand, Belgium, and France, in British or French ships: to Japan in British or Japanese ships. Regarding shipments to America, Italy, and other countries, the permission of the Customs authorities must be j obtained- i j NO IMPORTS OF SUGAR. | BRITISH PROHIBITION. | CONTROL OVER SUPPLIES, j Wellington, October 25. I The High Commissioner reports that with a. view to crippling tier- j many's trade, the British Govern- j ment has prohibited the importation j of sugar into the United Kingdom.
