ANNUAL ROAD RACE.

The Timaru to Chriatchutch Road Rue*, the great event of the year in cycling circles, was held yesterday in iino weather conditions. The roads were in excellent o'der, but a strong nor'-east wind, which was encountered the greater part of the way, scri ously affected the time recorded. Tho contest was won by F. A. Sutherland, 01 Timaru. from tho 25rain mark. v.'hilo the fastest time was again established by I'. O'Shea, of Christchurch, though, principally because of the head wind, ho was unabio to equal his record performance of last October. The results are as follows:—F. A.
