HERALD PATRIOTIC FUND.
SUM OF £3759 RECEIVED. Additional donations to the Herald Patriotic Fund bring the total amount received to date to £3759 5s Bd. Among the subscriptions received yesterday was one of £7 7s from the nurses of the Mental Hospital. They have already made 90 pairs of mittens and 601b of cake for the expeditionary i force, and they subscribed to contributions by the staff of the hospital, amounting to £70 2s, wlu'ch have been paid into the National Patriotic Fund. The amount forwarded to the Herald Fund is for the relief of local distress. Yesterday's subscriptions were as follows :— £ s. d.
