STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY,
Tire sharemarket was quiet again yesterday. In standard stocks, New Zealand Insurances were offered at £5 13s. South British Insurances were in demand at 80s, sellers holding for 82s 6d.
Waihi mining shares changed hands at 33s 6d. Waihi Grand Junctions were disposed of for 23s 9d and 23s 6d. Talismans were quoted at 27s by sellers and at 26s 6d by buyers.
The Exchange will close on Monday, Labour Day.
