RECORD REVENUE, NEW TAXATION'. By Teiecrapb—Press Association-Copyright. (Received October 22, 7.30 p.m.) Hobart, October 22. Tin: Budget was planted in the Assembly to-day. The total ordinary revenue lor last Tear was a record, amounting w £1.238.085. Tho expenditure amounted to £1.255,013. Tho Government proposes to derive additional revenue by an increment tax, an amendment, of the income tax, an amendment of the Deceased Persons Estates Duties Act, an amusement ;| tax, and an amendment of the Stamp Duties Act. An increasing perrentage will be withheld from the prizes , at TattersalPs sweeps, and a tax will W |j imposed on motor vehicles.
