THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Tin' annual meeting of the Oneliunga and Manukau Chamber of Commerce was held last night in the Borough Chambers at Onehunga. Mr. A. McColl, president, occupied the chair. The balance-sheet read by Mr. C. A. Osborne, treasurer, showed a credit balance of £9 7s 6d. me report and balance-sheet were
adopted. • The election of officers resulted at follows :President, Mr. M. H. Wynyard; vice-president. Mr. A. Me Coll; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. A." Osborne (reelected); auditor, Mr. A. S. Holmes; Committee of Management, Messrs. .). I'owe, A. Grundy, T. Bissctt, Q. L. Taylor, A. Makgill, and J. Robins. Mr. Wynyard then took 'he chair, and' rejurnea thanks for his election as president. He said he believed that Oneilnmga had a great future before it from' an . industrial ■ standpoint. In fact, he knew of no other district with equal ad { vantages, especially for the distribution of farmers' produce and other goods. He Doped that the Inland Waterways Com(mission would soon be in a position to report on the proposed canal routes, and that theWaiukuand Tamaki Canals would soon be an accomplished fact. •
