A shock was also recorded in ton City shortly after .nidnight last night. Reports from Blenheim state a 'harp and severe shock of earthquake wr> felt there at 12.20 this morning. It i a s of about half a minute's duration. Two further shocks of earthquake wet ex- 1 perienced this afternoon, one at 1' a,li another at 1.20 p.m. A series of earthquake shocks * as at Nelson at 1 p.m. and 1.20 • nl, t0 ". day.
LIGHTHOUSE DAIIAC REPORT FROM CAPE CA-JBELL-[bt TELEGRAPH.PRESS associate 1 Wellington, Wednesday. Information has been received by th« Marine Department from Cape Campbell lighthouse that an earthquake, which occurred there to-day, disarranged the apparatus and prevented the ligiu from, being shown. In consequence, no light > will be exhibited from the station untilfurther notice. The Department will despatch the light house expert by the Hinemoa to morro.v morning to put the light in order. Due notice will be given as to when the light will be again exhibited.
