Stpxet, September 10. Tirr. Iciest figures in the Federal elections indicate that the Labour Party has secured the innet doubtful scats. Mr. Cook, the Prime Minister, waited upon the Gover-nor-General, Sir Mi;nro Ferguson, and handeo. in his Cabinet's resignation. He consented to continue in office until the new Administration had been formed. Mr. Fisher, the Leader of the Labour Party, and Mr. Hughes have departed for Melbourne to undertake the formation of a new Ministry.
